On Tuesday-18-March the Bogota Seniors held a St. Patrick Day’s lunch. Before the meeting the attendees listen to Bagpipe music from Mr. Michael Harley as they had their lunch. There were also decorated cookies provided by Ms. Theresa Calleja for dessert, and home-made soda bread by Ms. Mary Wynman, Mr. Kevin Regan, Mayor Ms. Daniele Fede and Ms. Hannah McAndrews. After the meeting Mr. David Fitzgerald played more songs that could be sung and danced to.
At
the meeting on Tuesday-15-April there will be a lecture by Mr. Jim Pries from the Borough's Financial Department. He will talk about the tax frieze and other tax rebate programs for seniors.
Also, on Tuesday-25-March, the Bogota VFW Ralph Hall Post #5561 will host a workshop for Seniors. It will start at 12:00n This will focus on how to avoid Home Contracting scams, and learn about Reverse Mortgages, and how to downsize. This will be at the VFW Post #5561 Headquarters located at 241 West Shore Ave. Bogota. For more information or to register call 201-906-3566, or email at mwynman@gmail.com
