Bogota Borough Council Meeting

 Thursday-20-March, the Bogota Borough Council held their Regular meeting for the month. With no Citizens Remarks being made the Council moved to vote on the Consent Agenda. All resolutions were passed. Most by unanimous, some Council members recused themselves due to conflict of interested. Also, one resolution was passed, with a number of Council Members voting no on certain items. A resolution on a Part-time Borough Employee was tabled indefinitely.
Resolutions of note were:
-To award a bid contract for the improvements for Veteran Memorial Park
-Two resolutions to approve a service proposal for the improvements of Hill St. and Larch Ave.
Then the Council moved into a Closed Session. When the meeting was reconvened, the Council approved a Shared Services Agreement with Hackensack Medical Center to be the provide Ambulance service to the Borough of Bogota. This was passed with only one recusal due to conflict of interested.
Also, this meeting was video as part of a real time test of the system installed in the Council Chambers. At the next Council meeting a video link will be available for live viewing. There will not be any interaction with the online viewers and the Council. The meeting will still allow in-person comments during both Citizen Remarks. Live viewing of the Council Meeting will be available on the Borough’s website.
The next regular Council meeting will be held on Thursday-4-April starting at 7:30p. It is scheduled to be held in the Council Chambers located on the second floor of 375 Larch Ave Bogota, NJ. For more information please visit:  https://www.bogotaonline.org/
