 On Tuesday-25-February the Bogota Board of Education held their meeting for February.

Durning his Superintendent Report. Mr. Damien Kennedy first introduced Student Representative Ms. Jhoana Morales. She announced that three members of the Bogota Indoor Track Bucs competed for the State of New Jersey Group I Championship on Sunday-23-February. Next Ms. Morales talked about The High School Environment Club with Mr. Stephen Chang has installed larger recycling bids in the Cafeteria and explained what should be placed in which bins. And said that the Arts Club painted rain barrels that will be used in the Bogota Community Garden.

 In his report Superintendent Kennedy announce a Redistrict meeting will be held on Thursday-6-March at 6:30p. This will be held online with the web address to be announced soon. This is open to the Public for more information plan to redistrict the grades and the schools. And the High School Musical on Friday-14 March.  Finally Superintendent Kennedy thanked the members of the school community for their aiding those Students and Families affected by the fire in the Apartment Building at 15 Palisade Ave.  

 Then the Trustees voted on the consent agenda. All resolution were approved by unanimous vote. Items of note was the accept the resignation due to retirement of Vickie Shepherd, Elementary School Teacher at Bogota Middle School effective June 30, 2025. And to accept the resignation due to retirement of Pura Martinez, Spanish Teacher at the High School. Both will be effective on Monday-30-June.  Other resolutions approved was to Approval of contract for auditorium seating. Along with Awarding Contract for the Bogota District Wide Electrical Upgrades.

The next Bogota Board of Education meeting will be on Tuesday-25-March. The Public meeting is scheduled to start at 7:00p. This will be held in the High School Cafeteria located at 2 Henry Luthin Pl. and online. This meeting is open to the Public. For more information, please go to https://www.bogotaboe.com/

  The Borough has started a Hometown Heroes Banner program. This will allow residents of Bogota to honor a family member who serviced in the Armed Servies. The cost of a banners will be $150.00 payable to the Borough of Bogota. Note:

The Bogota Department of Public Works have moved the Recycling Center to the Swim Club Parking Lot at the end of Feller Pl.  This will accept Cardboard Monday to Friday from 8:00a to 2:00p. And Saturdays 9:00a to 1:00p. 

Closed on Holidays and Sundays.
