Results from Bogota Varsity Basketball on Wednesday-5-February. The Lady Bucs traveled to Garfield to play the Lady Boilermakers. The home team had a 13-3 lead by the end of the first quarter. Before going into the locker room, the Lady Bucs closed the margin to 20 to 17. After the restart Bogota would take over the lead by a score of 25 to 24. The final eight minutes had Garfield was able to win the game 31 to 30. Bogota's Emma Fowler finished with game high of 17 Points with 4 Three Point Baskets. Garfield's Ny'Jai Mixon led her team with 11 Points including 1 Three Point Basket. Teona Babunska and Barbara Miceska also scored 1 Three Point Basket for Lady Boilermakers Bogota's record is now 5-12. They next play on Friday-7-February at Wood-Ridge with a 4:00p Tip-off.
The Men's Basketball Bucs host the Lodi Rams on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. Bogota open the game scoring the first 4 points. Lodi then accounted for the next seven points and produced a 15-7 point first quarter lead. In the next eight minutes Bogota allowed the visitors just a single point while scoring 16 themselves to take a 23 to 16 lead into the Locker Room. The Bucs would give up the lead and won the game by a score of 54 to 38. Lucas Cruz had a Game high with 14 Points, and a team High of 10 Rebounds and 2 Blocks. Brandon Nicolas had a game high with 2 Three Point Baskets.
Bogota's record is now 9-12. Their next game is Monday-10-February at Elmwood Park with a 7:00p Tip-off
