Results for Bogota Varsity sports from Tuesday-21- January. The Bogota Bowling Bucs faced the Midland Park Panthers in the Parkway Lanes. The teams split the first two games. Midland Park outscore the Bucs in the third game by 70 Pins to earn a 5-2 match win. Nico Lucarelli had match highs with the high game of 172 Pins and 483 High Set. Ian Grayson led Midland Park with a 171 game and 436 set. Bogota’s record is now 3-7. They next play Park Ridge on Wednesday-22-January at 4:00p in the Parkway Lanes.
Men’s Basketball Bucs hosted the Tigers from Palisades Park on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. Bogota would jump to a 23-8 lead after the first eight minutes. At halftime they held a 41 to 25 advantage. After the restart, the Tigers started to reduce the margin, with Bogota holding on for a 73-63 road win. The Bucs Brandon Nicolas led Bogota with 18 Points. Ryan Fowler recorded a team high with 4 Three Point Baskets matching his career high. Lucas Cruz and Mr. Nicolas finished with 10 Rebounds, with Mr. Cruz adding 5 Blocks.
Their record is now 7-9, Bogota next plays on Thursday-23-January against Ridgefield at home with a 7:00p tipoff.
The Lady Bucs Basketball team traveled to Palisades Park to play the Lady Tigers. The home team held a 7 to 5 advantage at the end of the first quarter. Bogota would shut-out the Lady Tigers in the second eight minutes and move into halftime ahead 11-7. After the restart The Lady Bucs continued their play and would come home with a 39 to 19 win. Lady Bucs’ Emma Fowler with13 Points and Amber Nunez with 12 Points led the Bogota offense. Ms. Fowler and Laydin Cortorreal, recorded 1 Three Point Basket apiece. Bogota’s record is now 4-9. The Lady Bucs next plays on Thursday-23-January in Ridgefield with a 4:00p tipoff.
