 Results of Bogota Varsity sports from Monday-13 January.  The Bogota Bowling Bucs competed against Saddle River Day School.  The Rebels would wing the match by a score of 7-0. Shay Tzep had a high game with 142 Pins, and the high total of 335 Pins for Bogota. Both were career highs. Justin Helman recorded a match highs with a 192 game with a 563 total Pins for the match. Bogota’s record is now 2-5. Their next match is on Tuesday-14-January against Midland Park at 4:00p in the Parkway Lanes in Elmwood Park.
  The Lady Bucs Basketball team traveled to Leonia to play the Lady Lions. Leonia opened a 20 to 4  first quarter lead and won the game by the score of 61-38. Bogota’s Emma Fowler scored a team high with 15  Point including 1 Three Point Basket. Edali Nunez also had 1 Three Point Basket. Ms. Fowler and Cristina Ter-Meliksetian  both led the Lady Bucs with 11 Rebounds.  Leonia’s Angelica Do had a game high with 22 Points.  Dani Daproza scored 1 Three Point Basket and Emriqca Jario recorded  a game high with 19 Rebounds. Bogota’s record is now 3-6. They next play on Wednesday-15-January against Lyndhurst. This will start at 4:00p  on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym
 The Men’s team hosted Leonia. From the opening tipoff both teams turn Speary Gym into an 84 feet sprint course. The game had 14 lead changes through the first three quarters.  The Bucs would score first only to have Leonia grab a 7-2 lead.  Bogota regain the lead, but the Lions pulled ahead for an 19-15 advantage after the first eight Minutes. In the second quarter  Leonia opened a 7 point margin, with the Bucs coming back to end the first half ahead by the score 44 to 42.
 After the restart, the two teams would swap the leads eight times. with Bogota still ahead by the score of 56-55 at three-quarter time. To start the fourth quarter the Bucs found an extra gear and went on an 8 point run to expand their lead. Bogota would win the game by a score of 76 to 70.
 The Bucs Jaiden Gonzelez had a game high with 19 Points. Brandon Nicolas also had a game high with 4 Three Point Baskets. Leonia’s Matt Wilds recorded team highs with 18 Points including 4 Three Point Baskets. Bogota’s record is now 5-7. They next play on Wednesday-15-January at North Arlington with a 7:00p tipoff.
