Bogota Varsity Basketball

 On Friday-17 January, the Bogota Varsity Basketball teams played those from New Milford.  The Men’s team travelled to New Milford to take on the Knights. The home team had a 22-16 first quarter lead. By halftime New Milford expanded their advantage to the score of 45 to 38. The Knights ended the evening with an 82-61 home win. Bogota would be led by Brandon Nicolas with 15 Points. This included a team high with 3 Three Point Baskets, and 5 Rebounds. New Milford’s Luis Placido led all players with a career high of 35 Points. Andy Aviles recorded Game and Career highs with  6 Three Point Baskets. Bogota’s record is now 6-8. Their next game is on  Tuesday-21-January against Palisades Park. This will start at 7:00p  on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym.
  The Lady Bucs Basketball team hosted the Lady Knights. New Milford took control of the game by outscoring Bogota 13-3 in the first quarter.  At half time the visitors held a 20 to 9 lead, on their way to a 39 to 29 win. Bogota’s Cristina Ter-Meliksetian scored a team high with 10 Points. Edali Nunez record 2 Three Point Baskets Kendahl Hibinski also scores 10 Points for New Milford, with Jenelle Ricciardelli recorded 4 Three Point Baskets. Bogota’s record is now 3-8. They next play on Monday-20-January against St. Mary’s. This will start at 10:00a on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym
