Board of Education

 On Tuesday-7- January the Bogota Board of Education held their first meeting for 2025. At this meeting, the three candidates with the most votes in the 2024 General election were sworn into as Trustees. They were Ms. Susan Cruz with 2,549 total votes. Mr. Franciso Miranda with 2,544 total votes. And Mr. Roberto Alvarez with 2,2678 total votes. Each trustees were sworn in separately by Business Administrator Mr. Irfan Evcil. The first to be given the oath of office was Mr. Miranda, then Ms. Cruz, and finally Mr. Alvarez
The next order of business was to appoint a President of the Board of Trustees. Mr. Miranda was nominated and won by unanimous vote. Then Mr. Jose Chavez was nominated as Vice President of the Board of Trustees. He also won by unanimous vote.
 When the new Board was seated, they voted on the consent agenda. All resolution were approved by unanimous vote. On item of note was the approval of the 2025 Calendar. There will be one meeting per month. Mostly the third or fourth Tuesday of the month, with no meeting in July,
The next Bogota Board of Education meeting will be on Tuesday-21- January. The Public meeting is scheduled to start at 7:00p. This will be held in the High School Cafeteria located at 2 Henry Luthin Pl. and online at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81971434336 This meeting is open to the Public.
