Bogota/ Ridgefield Park Scarlet-Bucs Wrestling

 

On Wednesday January 29, the Bogota/ Ridgefield Park Scarlet-Bucs Wrestling squad hosted the Cliffside Park/ Ridgefield Royal Raiders in the Bell Gym.
 Of the 12-bout scheduled 11 were competed, the Scarlet-Bucs would win 7 of them. the Bogota/ Ridgefield Park would win the match by a score of 52 to 19.  For the Scarlet-Bucs Tyler Lippencott 106 at lbs., Marlon Bravo at 113 lbs., Joaquin Salcedo at 120 lbs., Christopher Beltre at 165 lbs., Derek Rodriquez at 175 lbs., and Isaiah Carrion at 190 lbs., all won by Pinfalls. Kevin Velasquez at 132 lbs. recorded a Major Discission by the score of 22 to 8. Mathias Avila at 126 lbs. had a 14-13 Discission win, and Anthony Almonte won by the score of 15-9. 

For Cliffside Park/ Ridgefield: Marco Corletto at 157 lbs., and Isiah Rodriguez at 285lbs. both had Pin Falls. Nicholas Duque at 150 lbs. recorded a Major Discission by the score of 11 to 0. Kyungpil Jung at 216 lbs. had a 5-1 Discission win,

 The Scarlet-Bucs’ record is now 8-5. They next compete at Kearny on Friday January 31; the first bout is scheduled for 6:00p

Lady Scarlet-Bucs Wrestling

 On Wednesday -29-January, the Bogota/ Ridgefield Park Lady Scarlet-Bucs Wrestling squad hosted the Cliffside Park/ Ridgefield Lady Royal Raiders in the Bell Gym. This was the Senior Match for Bogota/ Ridgefield Park and before the first bout Seniors Carolina Estrada and Isabella Gomero were asked to come to the center of the mat to be honored for their career. Each received flowers from the coaches.

Of the 12-bouts scheduled 10 were competed, the Lady Scarlet-Bucs would win 6 of them. Cliffside Park/ Ridgefield would win the match by a score of 36 to 35. For Bogota/ Ridgefield Park Ashlie Nagle at 107 lbs., Rachael Magalhaes at 120 lbs., Isabella Vargas at 126 lbs., Gariella Correa at 152 lbs., and Ashley Viela Armijos at 185 lbs. all won by Pinfalls. Carolina Estrada at 132 lbs. recorded a Technical Fall by the score of 18 to 3. For Cliffside Park/ Ridgefield Carol Sutuj at 114 lbs., Deisy Quevedo DeLeon at 138 lbs., Blanca Flores at 145 lbs., and Diana Herrera at 165 lbs. all won by Pin Falls,

The Lady Scarlet-Bucs’ record is now 12-2. They next compete in a Quad Match on Friday-31- January at Ramsey. The first bout is scheduled for 5:00p

  The Borough has started a Hometown Heroes Banner program. This will allow residents of Bogota to honor a family member who serviced in the Armed Servies. The cost of a banners will be $150.00 payable to the Borough of Bogota. The Bogota Department of Public Works have moved the Recycling Center to the Swim Club Parking Lot at the end of Feller Pl.  This will accept Cardboard Monday to Friday from 8:00a to 2:00p. And Saturdays 9:00a to 1:00p.
