The Bogota FOP Lodge #161 located in Bogota; NJ is asking for your assistance with one of our Officers. Officer Montano's residence caught fire on August 22, 2024 and him and his family lost all of their belongings. Luckily everyone is safe, but they now have to recover from this horrible disaster. Officer Montano was working patrol when he received the horrible news from his wife. When he got to his home, he realized they had instantly lost everything they have.

  The Borough has started a Hometown Heroes Banner program. This will allow residents of Bogota to honor a family member who serviced in the Armed Servies. The cost of a banners will be $150.00 payable to the Borough of Bogota.  The Village of Ridgefield Park has made available the sign up and the trial period for their Food Waste Municipal Composting Program through the end of the year.

Leaf season is from Monday-14-October until Monday-23-December. Homeowners are allowed to place raked, leaves and grass cutting in the street, along the curb, in front of their residents.  It is asked that the piles be placed in such a way as not to interfere with traffic, and away from storm sewers and drain to prevent flooding, or other water build-up. Leaf Season is schedule to end on Monday-23-December after that date all yard waste must be placed in brown leaf bags for pick-up. 

                                                       

                             

Note:

The Bogota Department of Public Works have moved the Recycling Center to the Swim Club Parking Lot at the end of Feller Pl.  This will accept Cardboard Monday to Friday from 8:00a to 2:00p. And Saturdays 9:00a to 1:00p. 

Closed on Holidays and Sundays.

Thursday-28-November Bogota The Bogota Borough Hall and the Bogota Recycling Center will close for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The Bogota Borough Hall will reopen on Monday-2-December for its regular Business hours. The Recycling Center will reopen at its regular time on Saturday-30-November.

Regular trash pick-up will take place on Friday-29-November.

Note: The recycling Center has moved to Bogota Swim Club Parking lot at the end of Feller Pl.

Thursday-28-November Ridgefield Park, NJ The Ridgefield Park Municipal Building and the Ridgefield Park Recycling Center will close for the Thanksgiving Holiday. They will reopen at its regular time on Monday-2-December.

 The Bogota Recreation Department will hold its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. This is scheduled to start at 4:00p. It will be held in front of Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ. The Public is welcomed. Prizes will be awarded by a Special Guest.
