Lady Bucs Volleyball

On Monday-4-Novmeber the #5 Bogota Lady Bucs Volley hosted 12 Hanover Park Lady Hornets in a First Round Match of the 2024 New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) North Jersey Section 2 Group 1 Tournament 

Bogota opened the first set with the serve and the first Point. The Lady Hornets would quickly tie the set at one a piece. Bogota then scored a side out and had Isabell Cruz serve. She led Bogota on an eight-point run to expand the home team margin. Both sides again trade points, and with Bogota retaking thew ball Ariana Marchant had a five-point service run and pushed the lead to 16-2.  With the Lady Bucs needing one point to win the set the Lady Hornets' Natalia Rodrguez had a four-point service run to close the Bogota's win to 25-12.

 Hanover Park opened the second set with service and the first point. Bogota would then score the next four points of the set. With the Lady Bucs only having a 2-point lead Ariana Marchant again used her serving to give her team a 12-3 advantage.  Bogota would go on to win the set 25-9 and the match by the score of 2-0.

 Emma Fowler had a match high with 12 Kills. Keidy Rodriguez for Bogota and Ruby Marlin for the Lady Hornets both had 10 Digs. This would be a career high for Ms. Rodriguez. Melannie Solis led all players with 14 Assists.  Isabella Cruz tied her career high recording match high with 14 Service Points. Natalia Rodrguez had match high with 4 Blocks and 3 Aces for Hanover Park. Keidy Rodriguez, Angelia Grod, and Talia Luciano all scored to 2 Blocks for Bogota Ariana Marchant, Melannie Solis, and Isabella Cruz all recorded 2 Aces.  Bogota's record is now 16-9.

They next travel to # 4 Cedar Grove on Wednesday-6-November for a Quarterfinal Match of the 2024 New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) North Jersey Section 2 Group 1 Tournament. The start time will bat 5:30p
