On Thursday-8-November the Bogota Borough Council held their first meeting for the month. At the start of the meeting Bogota Mayor Ms. Danele Fede asked for a moment of silence to remember two Bogota residents who recently passed away. They were Mr. Robert Ferro and Mr. John Wilkens. A view for Mr. Ferro will be held on Sunday-10 November starting at 2:00p in the Petrik Funeral Home at 140 Palisade Ave.

Then there was a discussion on expanding the hours retail businesses in the Borough can be open. Action on this topic may be taken at a future meeting.
Next three ordinances were introduced the first one is to appropriate the funding to begin the construction of the new Community Center in Olsen Park. The next one was to reduce the number of members to the Recreation Committe from 7 to 5 members with two alternates. The third ordinance is to authorize the various improvements to Veteran’s Park in, by and for the Borough. Half of the funding is being provided by a Local Recreation Improvement Grant from the State of New Jersey. All ordinances will be open for Public comment at the meeting on Thursday-5-December

When the consent agenda was voted on all resolutions were passed unanimously. One resolution was tabled for further discussion at a future meeting, Items of note was to approve the nomination of Mr. Alex Breuss as Battalion Chief for 2025.
