On Thursday-3-October the Bogota Borough Council held their work session meeting for the month. To start the meeting there was a moment to remember former Fire Chief Mr. Donald Griesback, who passed away in late September. Then two Ordinances were introduced: They are to amend the Borough code on traffic. They be open for a public hearing on Thursday-17-October at 7.30p.
Next the Council considered the resolution on the consent agenda. All item passed by unanimous vote, with a few recusals. Items of note were to agree to shared services for Ambulance coverage to be proved by Hackensack University Medical Center for 3 years. Another was to award a contract for safety improvements on Palisade, Chestnut, Fischer, and Maplewood Aves. Other items were to approve Turnout gear for the Bogota Volunteer Fire Department. Along with approving Swift water rescue gear.
The Council meeting is Thursday-17-October at 7.30p. It will be held in the Borough's Council Chambers on the second fl. of 375 Larch Ave. Bogota. It is open to the Public and is an in-person meeting only.

The Municipal Building and the Bogota Public Library will be closed on Monday-14-October for Columbus Day. They will reopen at their regular time on Tuesday-15-October.
