Weekend Sports

Recap of Bogota Varsity Sports from the weekend starting on Thursday-12-September.
-Thursday-12-September, the Bogota Soccer Bucs would travel to New Milford to play the Panthers. 
New Milford scored one goal in the opening half. They would add three more goals in the second half and win the game 4-0. Joshua Quevedo recorded 10 Saves. Bogota’s record is now 0-4. They next play  on Monday-16- September at Palisades Park with a 4:00p Kick-off.
-Friday-13-September the Lady Bucs Volleyball team traveled to Hoboken to play the Lady Redwings. Hoboken won the match  2-0 ( 25-16 : 25-19). Bogota’s record is now 2-2. They next play on  Monday-16- September against Ridgefield in Speary Gym with the first serve at 4:00p.
-Friday-13-September, the Bogota Football Bucs hosted the Weehawken Indians on the Vince Lombardi Field in Palisades Park. Bogota would receive the kick-off to start the game. On the Bucs third play from scrimmage starting Quarterback Ryan Lewis would suffer an Upper Body Injury and leave the game. He would be replaced by Jayden Gonzalez.
 The first 12 minutes saw no scoring.  Early in the second quarter Weehawken’s Juan Lozano took a 32 yard pass from Christian Ramirez for the first touchdown of the game. The Indians then had the next three major scores with a Eneaz Wells running for 84 yards for a touchdown, he would also catch a 26-yard pass from Christian Ramirez for a score.  Along with an 8-yard pass from Dylan Habitz for his third touchdown of the game.
 Bogota’s Jaidin Gonzalez ran for 53 yards for a late touchdown. Neither team could convert on their extra points and the game finished with a 24-6 Weehawken win. Bogota’s record is now 1-2. They next play on Friday-20-September in Park Ridge at 7:00p.
