Results from Bogota Varsity Sports
On Wednesday-18-September the Bogota Soccer Bucs traveled to Ridgefield to play the Royals. Ridgefield would get 3 Goals from Aidan Lavin to push them to a 5-0 win. Bogota's Joshua Quevedo recorded 10 Saves. Their record is now 0-6. They next play on Tuesday-24-September at Dwight-Englewood with a 4:00p Kick-off.
The Bogota Cross Country Bucs had a divisional at Darlington Park. Both Squads would run against Cresskill, Hawthorne Christian Academy, Midland Park, and Paterson Charter School. Both squads would record victories over all four schools. They Lady Bucs placed seven runners in the top eight. Ana Michel place first overall and was followed by Maya Schiaratura, Isabell Cruz and Anna Ter-Meliksetian coming in at second, third and fourth. Taitum Sandoval-Diaz was 6th overall.
For the Men's team Emmanuel Marin and Raymond Ehrmann finished in sixth & seventh place respectfully. Zohaib Syed was 10th, Hussian Salam and Ernesto Santana placed 13th & 14th. The Lady Bucs' record is 7-1, the Men's team is now 6-1. Thier next meet is Saturday-21-September at Greystone.
Thursday-19-September the Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team host the Saddle Brook Lady Falcons in Speary Gym. Saddle Brok service first with Bogota winning the first points. Melannie Solis served the Lady Bucs to a 5-0 lead. With Ariana Marchant and Emma Fowler contributing to long service runs Bogota would win the set by a score of 25-8. In the second set Bogota served first with the Lady Falcons grabbing the first score. The set would start with fours ties in the opening eight points awarded. The Lady Bucs grew the advantage to three points on the way to a 25-11 set win, for a 2-0 Match win.
Bogota Ariana Marchant recorded 8 Digs, 6 Service Points with 2 Aces. Emma Fowler had a match high with 12 Kills with Isabella Cruz scoring 10 Kills of her own. Adamarys Pions finished with 12 Assists, Melannie Solis scored 10 Assists and 2 Aces. Angelina Grod and Talia Luciano had 2 Blocks apiece.
Gabriella Bruce and Maren Kupris scored 2 Kills each for Saddle Brook and Braina Garcia posted a match high 10 Digs.
Bogota's record is 4-3. They next play on Saturday-21-September in Demarest starting at 8:00a.
