On Thursday-6-June, the Bogota High School held their Academic Awards ceremony for 2024. This was held in Speary Gym. The program started with High School Principal Dr. Jeannie Paz asking with
The three Seniors present, who Graduated from Bergen Community College with an associate degree to lead the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance. They were Ms. Makayla Douglas, Mr. Joshua Gesmundo, and Mr. Dave Castillo. A fourth Senior Ms. Anabel Jimenez also Graduated from Bergen Community College with an associate degree could not attend the event.
Next was Athletic Director Dr. Malcolm Lash presented the Athletic Awards. There were 6 awards handed out to 8 Student Athletes. These were given to Ms. Isabel Michel, Mr. Rodolfo Asencio, Mr. Joseph Perpepaj, Mr. Ivan Estevez Gonzalez, Ms. Kaelee Zuniga, Mr. Dave Castillo, Mr. Joshua Friedman, and Ms. Brianna Mejia.
Then one Scholarship for Fine Arts was awarded to Mr. Marvin Madera, and Mr. Wilson Games Chitic. This was followed by the Departmental awards for Band, Art, Vocal, Science, English & Biliteracy, Math, Social Studies, Community Service, Attendance, and the President’s Education Awards. 40 Students received these awards. They were Mr. Marvin Madera, Mr. Wilson Games, Mr. Ivan Estevez Gonzalez, Ms. Orlanny DeLaCruz, Ms. Darli Gonzalez, Ms. Michelle Gonzalez, Mr. Zaara Ahmed, Ms. Anabel Jimenez, Ms. Graziella Anterola, Ms. Genesis Hiraldo, Mr. Dave Castillo, Ms. Makayla Douglas, Mr. Adrian Sandoval-Diaz, Mr. Antonio Yacovetti, Ms. Cruzbelisse Alcantara Guzman, Mr. Isaias Camilo, Mr. Juan Florez Mejia, Ms. Kmila Guevara, Mr. Eddy Marte, Ms. Isabel Michel, Ms. Carla Morales, Ms. Domenica Plaza Roman, Ms. Gabriela Quevedo, Ms. Emily Ramirez, Ms. Fernanda Rubio, Mr. Freddy Tavarez Brito, Ms. Ashley Urena, Mr. Paul Vargas, Mr. JeanPaul Wiski, Ms. Leslie Zapata, Mr. Darryl Lee, Mr. Evan Abreu, Mr. Joshua Gesmundo, Ms. Inaaya Glasswala, and Ms. Hanza Salam.
