On Saturday-20-April the Ridgefield Park Scarlets-Bucs Baseball team played in Weehawken against the Memorial Tigers. Scarlets-Bucs opened the game scoring twice in the first inning. Memorial cut the lead to 2-1 in the second inning. Ridgefield Park then recorded a 3 run third and fourth inning. This helped the visitors to a 9-3 win. Josh Friedman led all batters with 3 Runs Batted In. Victor Rodriguez scored 3 times and stole 4 bases. Jason Alvarado went 2 for 2 also scoring 3 runs and had 3 Stolen Bases. Hector Zarzuela pitch five innings for his first win of the season.
Ridgefield Park’s record is now 8-2. Their next game is on Tuesday-23-April against Westwood. This will take place on Bassano Field in Little Ferry with a first pitch at 4:00p.
The Bergen Record has two Ridgefield Park players eligible for player of the week.
