MS Walk-a-Thon 2024

  On Sunday 14 April the National MS Society for Metro New Jersey will hold a walk-a-thon at Overpeck Park in Ridgefield Park NJ. This will open at 8:30a with the walk starting at 10:00a. They are accepting registrations for teams or individuals at: https://events.nationalmssociety.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.event&eventID=1754

There will a choice of a 1 mile or 3-mile course to use.

They are also looking for Middle and High School Student Volunteers to assist with the event though-out the day. Anyone volunteering will receive community service hours for the day. They will also get t-shirts, for their effort in giving back to the community and helping.

• They need assistance with High Priority Roles: such as

• SAG Driver - Drive either a golf cart or rented vehicle to patrol the route and provide support for any Walk MS Participants who require assistance

• First Aid - first aid/CPR certification required

• Amateur Photographer - no advanced skill or fancy equipment required, cell phone photos are absolutely welcome!

• Set Up/Tear Down - not always a "heavy lift" position - pay attention to specifics

All of our volunteer roles are incredibly important, and we greatly appreciate people who volunteer in any capacity. Some of our roles have proven to be more challenging to recruit for when compared to others.
