On Thursday-4-April, the Bogota Borough Council held their work
session meeting for April. At the start of the meeting, Bogota Mayor Ms. Daniele
Fede held a moment of gratitude to reflect on the fact that residents of the
Borough were not harm by the storm from the past few days.
During the Citizens Remarks it was asked to a Council Member about
the money they will receive, after voting no on the raise in the stipend for
Government Employees. The answer was that the difference in pay will be donated
to the Bogota Junior Police Academy.
There was one item that was discussed and may be continued at
the meeting later in the month. All resolutions on the Consent Agenda were
passed by unanimous vote. Also voted on was the payment of claims in two
separate votes. The main resolution was passed by unanimous vote. The second
resolution was to pay the claim for Enterprise Leasing. This was passed by a
4-2 vote.
Other items passed were the minutes for the Meeting on Thursday-21-March.
Also passed was to take part in the Pinwheel Project for Child Abuse Prevention
Month. This will be in cooperation with the Ridgefield Park Women’s Club to
show support with the Prevent
Child Abuse America’s nationwide Digital Advocacy Day on Tuesday-16-April.
The next Borough Council meeting will be on Thursday-18-April at
7:30p. It will be held in the Council Chambers on the second floor of 375 Larch
Ave. It is an in-person meeting only and is open to the Public.
