Bucs Jam Fest

  On Wednesday-27-December the Bogota Basketball Bucs hosted the Community Tigers in an opening round Varsity game of the Jay Mahoney Jam Fest. This was played on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. Bogota would take a 13-0 lead to start off the first quarter. Community registered their first point almost five minutes into the game.   The Bucs maintain their double-digit advantage for the entire first quarter to have a 23-13.  In the second eight minutes the Tigers even the play but Bogota kept the margin at halftime. After the restart the Bucs again put pressure on their opponents and opened a larger separation in scoring and had a 52-to-33-point lead. Bogota would win the game by the score of 58 to 35. 

  The Bucs Lucas Cruz had a game high with 15 Points, 13 Rebounds, and 6 Blocks.  Mr. Cruz would set a career high in Rebounds. RJ Asencio recorded a game and career high with 4 Three Point Baskets.  The Tigers Josh Haynes led his team with 12 Points with 2 Three Points Baskets.

  Bogota's record is now 3-3. The next play Promise Academy 1 Charter School on Saturday-30-December. This is the Men's Varsity Champion game starting at 5:30p.  It will be held on the Kay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym.
