Bogota Basketball

  On Tuesday-19-December the Basketball teams from Bogota played those from Dwight-Englewood. The Men's team traveled to play the Bulldogs. The Bucs took an early lead, then Dwight-Englewood would pull ahead and have a 10 to 7 advantage at the end of the first quarter. The Bulldogs pull away and led 25-16 at halftime. They would win the game by the score of 54 to 36. Bogota's record is now 1-2. They next play on Thursday-21-December against Hackensack. This will take on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym with a 7:00p tip-off

Tickets are on sale now for the 2023 Battle at the Barclays Center on Monday-15-January-2024. This the Bogota Basketball Bucs will play Cresskill with a 12:30p tipoff. Tickets will include the Brooklyn Nets vs the Miami Heat at 7:30. Tickets must be purchased before Sunday-31-December (use form below)

   The Lady Bucs hosted the Lady Bulldogs on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym.  Bogota would jump out to a 6-0 lead on 2 Three Point Baskets by Emma Fowler. Dwight-Englewood then scored the next seven points for a 7-6 lead. By the end of the first eight minutes Bogota had moved in front again at 9 to 8. The second quarter saw the Lady Bucs double the scoring and took a 19-14 advantage into halftime. After the restart Bogota stayed ahead with the score 27-18 at three quarter time.  In the fourth quarter the Lady Bulldogs began to close the margin.  The game would then be tied at 31-31, then at 33 all. As time expired Dwight-Englewood would force overtime with the score 37 to 37. In the extra session Bogota scored the first six points, with three of the by Ms. Fowler from behind the arc. Anandi Figueroa connect on one free throw and the game would in a 43-38 Lady Bucs win.  Emma Fowler led all scorers with career high of24 Points including 5 Three Point Baskets.  Makaylla Douglas had a career high with 20 Rebounds. 

Dwight-Englewood was led by Jenene Hall with 17 Points with Sidney Adekanbi and Rhea Shah both recording 1 Three Point Basket. 

  Bogota's Record is now 1-2. They next play on Thursday-21-December at Ridgefield with a 4:00p start.
