Bogota

Leaf season started on Tuesday-10-October until Monday-18-December. Homeowners are allowed to place raked, leaves and grass cutting in the street, along the curb, in front of their residents.  It is asked that the piles be placed in such a way as not to interfere with traffic, and away from storm sewers and drain to prevent flooding, or other water build-up. Leaf Season is schedule to end on Monday -18- December after that date all yard waste must be placed in brown leaf bags for pick-up.

 START II will hold their second annual Christmas sale at the Bogota Recreation Center going from 10:00a to 3:00p There will presents for pets for sale, and a Fall themed cookie sale. Process goes to the START II animal shelter. For more information, please go to www.startII.org.

The Bogota Public Library will host their Tech Roots coding classes. Tech Roots Academy teaches computer programming to children of all ages so they will learn ahead of the curve. The Bogota Board of Health is sponsoring a free rabies clinic. This will be held at the W. Broad St. Firehouse,and start at 1:30p. vaccines will be given under the supervision of the Overpeck Creek Animal Hospital of Bogota. The shots were administered free of charge for residents of the Borough who had paid for a license. Pet owners either paid this day, or could have paid in advance with proof of purchase at the time of vaccination.
