Citizen of the Year

On Monday-13-November the Bogota VFW Ralph Hall post #5561 Post Commander Alexander Hernandez announced the Bogota Citizen of the year for 2023. This year was a small ceremony that took place in the Second Floor Senior Center of the Bogota Library.  Commander Hernandez read the letter that was used for this year's nominee. Some of the accomplishments listed were the volunteer work done as for local originations. Some of these were the Library Board. The Board of Recreation, including being Chairperson this year. Other activities are being a member of both the Bogota Heavy Rescue and the Recuse Squad #46.

 Then Commander Hernandez introduce Ms. Rebecca Youla as the latest Bogota Citizen of the Year. Due to health concerns Ms. Eileen Mackesy-Karpoff was given the honour of presenting the plaque to Ms. Youla.
