On Thursday-7-September the Lady Bucs Volleyball team and the Bogota Soccer Bucs opened their 2023 season. The Soccer team hosted the Butler Bulldogs on Zakrzewski Field in Olsen Park. The Bulldogs would win the game by a score of 4-1. They now have a record of 0-1 and next play on Monday -11-September at Paterson Charter School. The kick-off is scheduled for 4:00p.

The Lady Bucs also opened at home, in Speary Gym against the Lady Wildcats from Becon. Bogota would score the first point of the match, and Becton would them tie the set at 1, then again at 2 points apiece. The Lady Bucs then would go on a seven point run to make the set 9-2. Becton would close the margin to three points a number of times in the set. Bogota would use a short four point run to regain control and ended with a 25-19 first set win.
In the second set Becton would serve first, but the Lady Bucs scored the first 8 points of the set. The Lady Bucs would maintain at least a 4 point advantage for the rest of the set, including seven straight points to win the set 25-12 and the Match 2-0. Bogota's record is now 1-0. They next play on Friday-8-September when they host Secaucus in Speary Gym. The first serve is scheduled for 6:00p. The Lady Bucs will also play in the Jersey Classic Tournament on Saturday-9-September. This will take place at Paramus with the first game starting at 9:00p
