On Tuesday-4-July the Village of Ridgefield Park held their 129th Fourth of July Celebration. This is the longest running Independence Day event in the State of New Jersey. A number of residents from Bogota took part in the festivities. At the beginning of the parade the Grand Marshal Ms. Elvira Rohlfs, better known as Bebe, car passed in front of the Municipal Building. There to cheer her on was a large number of Family and Friends wearing light blue shirts with Bebe's image emblazing on it. As the car move closer the crowd grew louder to show their support for the Matriarch of the Family. Even as a swift rain shower fell their spirit was felt by the Grand Marshal in her car.
