Durning the week of 7-May the Albert Graf Bridge had a traffic limitation replaced on the bridge. This is in order to continue the refurbishment of the support columns, and arches, under the bridge. Car allowed traffic was allowed to cross over the railroad tracks, but only one lane in each direction. Along with pedestrian traffic on both sidewalks on remains open. Buses and heavy truck traffic are detoured.
This is the next part of the project to reenforce the under structure of the bridge. In April work started by placing temporary steel columns next to the eastern columns for repair. These columns have been repaired and large footing added to reduce damage. With the temporary columns removed. Next the supports arches on both side of Leonia Ave were also refurbishment. This part of the project is again refurnishing the support arches closer to the railroad track. This part is schedule to be completed by Thursday 18-May.
