On Thursday-2-March the Bogota Borough Council held their first meeting for the month. All resolutions on the consent agenda were passed by unanimous votes. Also approved was to extend the contract with the Bergen County Utility Assocation until 2024. Agenda items of note approved were:
The hiring of Mr. Fidel Valdes as a Special Law Enforcement Officer class 3 for the Bogota School District.
An emergency declaration to replace the 12" sanitary main on Fairview Ave. Along with to except funding from the New Jersey Department of Transportation for the Pine St. and Larch Ave. project.
Durning the Councils reports it was mentioned that Monday-13-March, before 3:00p, was the last day to apply in person at the Bergen County Clerks Office for a mail-in ballot for the Referendum election.
Tuesday-14-March is the voting day for the Bogota School District referendum on a bond funding to improve the public schools. Polls are open from 6:00a to 8:00p. Polling station are. Polls are located at the at:
-- For Districts 1& 6 it is the Bogota Recreation Center at 162 W. Main St.Districts 1&6 is that part of the Borough located West of the Railroad tracks.
-- For Districts 2&3 it is the Gym of Bogota High School at 1 Henry Luthin Pl. please use the door towards the back of the building on the North side of the building.
Districts 2& 3 is that part of the Borough located East of the Railroad tracks & North of Beechwood Ave
-- For Districts 4&5 it is in the Gym of the Roy Bixby School at Maplewood & Fischer Aves.
Districts 4 &5 is that part of the Borough located East of the Railroad tracks & South of Beechwood Ave.
All Public Schools in Bogota will be closed that day.
Saturday-18-March will be the free rabies clinic starting at 10:00a. It will be held at the Broad St. Firehouse.
Tuesday-21-March will be the Borough's Official celebration of Ramadan inn front of Borough Hall starting at 7:00p
Saturday-29-April Bogota Recuse Squad boot drive on from 8:00a to 4:00p
The next regular Borough Council meeting will be held on Thursday-16-March starting at 7:00p. It is scheduled to be held in the Council Chambers located on the third floor of 375 Larch Ave Bogota, NJ. For more information please visit: https://www.bogotaonline.org/
