Results from the games played by the Varsity sports teams from Bogota on Thursday-22-December. The Bogota Bowling Bucs competed against the Midland Park Panthers at the Parkway Lanes in Elmwood. Bogota would win the match 7-0. The Bucs were led by Casey Grod with a match high of a 597 set and a 222 game. The Panthers were led by Grace Mahoney had a team high of a 399 set and Patrick Stern a 144 game. Bogota's record is 5-1. They next play on Thursday-5-January-2023 against Hawthrone Christian Academy. This will take place at the Parkway Lanes in Elmwood Park stating at 4:00p.
The Men's Basketball Bucs traveled to Palisades Park to play the Tigers. The Bucs led after the first eight minutes by the score of 5-3. The Tigers would out score Bogota in the second quarter and take an 18 to 16 advantage into the locker room. After the restart Palisades Park expanded their lead to 27 -22 at the three-quarter time mark. Bogota would make a comeback in the final quarter and come away with a 37 to 34 road win. Bogota's Evan Abreu had a team high with 10 Points including 1 Three Point Basket. Bogota's record is now 2-3. They next play on Monday-26-December in the opening game of the Jay Mahoney Holiday Jam Fest. This will be held at on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. They will face Promise Academy with a 7:30p start.
The Bogota/Heights Women's team hosted the Palisades Park Lady Tigers on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. The first nine points of thew game would come from Three Point Baskets. Bogota/Heights would have two of them and have a 6-3 lead and 9-3 at the end of the opening quarter. The second eight minutes saw the home score 21 points and take a 30-9 lead into Halftime. The game would end with a 49-14 Bogota/Heights win. Emma Fowler and Marissa Mucci had game highs of 12 Points from 4 Three Point Baskets for Bogota/Heights. They now have a record of 3-1. They next play on Monday-26-December in the opening game of the Jay Mahoney Holiday Jam Fest. This will be held at on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. They will face Ft. Lee with a 4:30p start.
