On Saturday-22-October the Bogota Public Library held their Halloween events. First there was a "Not So Scary Storytime" This was held under the Nikki Spiegel Storytime Tree. Youth Services Coordinator Mr. Tom Skrnich read Halloween books to the young Students. These included books that the listeners could shout out words with Mr. Skrnich, or just laugh at the silliness being read.

Next the second Floor Senior Center was opened as the Haunted Library. A dark tunnel was set-up full of coloured lights, eerie sounds and costumed characters, that something jumped toward the walkers. Children dressed in costumed walk through the tunnel to find out how brave they were. Some would need to hold on to a Parent, while others tried it on their own. They were rewarded with treats after making out of the darkness. This year the tunnel was opened in segments, so not to be overcrowded. But a steady flow of Halloween dress Children, and some Parents enjoyed a walk in the darkness.
