On Tuesday-10-October the Emergency Services Companies of Bogota held their Emergency Services night in Parking Lot in front of St. Josephs. This was to allow the public to get a closer look at the equipment use by the Firefighter, Police Officers, and Rescue Workers. This was also a chance to talk to the Women and Men, mostly Volunteers, on what is it like when they need to answer a call. Also, on display were an Ambulance from Teaneck, and Holy Name Hospital. A number of units from the Bergen County Sheriff's department showed how their equipment work. On was a remote-controlled robot that is used in order to keep human officers out of harm's way. This was operated by the Bergan County Bomb Squad and showed how a car's door can be opened from a safe distant. Another demonstration allowed the children to feel what is like to use a fire hose to put out a fire. There was also a demonstration by the Bergen County K-9 unit which showed how the four footed officers are used to find a missing person, or illegal substances.
