 Results from Bogota Varsity Sports from Thursday-13-October. 

     The Bogota Soccer Bucs hosted the Ridgefield Royals at Zakrzewski Field in Olsen Park. In the first half the teams would trade goals making the score 1 to1 at the half. After the restart the Royals would put in five goals to Bogota's one and leave with a 6-2 win. Bogota would get both their Goals from Elian Pion. Ridgefield's Alessandro Osuna and Dino Radoncic would also score twice. The Bucs record is now 3-9-1. They next play on Monday-17-October against Palisades Park. This will take place on Zakrzewski Field in Olsen Park with a 4:00p Kick-off.

  The Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team hosted the Lions from Leonia. This would be the Senior Match for the Lady Bucs. before the first set the Seniors from both teams were introduced to the audience. For Leonia Ava Johnson, Sophia Arzeno, Isabell Tsans, and Sierra Addy were given a bouquet in recognition for their varsity career. One more player, Abby Boyd, was called forward by Bogota Head Coach Brad DiRupo. Coach DiRupo personally presented Ms. Boyd with her bouquet for her participation in the Bogota Summer Volleyball camp. Then he introduced and thanked the six Lady Bucs Seniors players. They were Seniah Burrell, Carolina Villada, Gianna Estevez, Angelina Buhler, Ashanna Caviness, and Mia Pimentel. They were all presented a Bouquet of flowers from the Coach Staff and give to all the Coaches saving the last hug for Coach DiRupo.

 The Match began with Leonia serving and scoring the first point of the set. Bogota would then take a 5-1 lead. The Lady Lion regained the service and closed the score to 5-4 The Lady Bucs maintained their lead, but Leonia would not allow themselves to fall behind by more than three points.  Bogota would lead 11-10 until Mia Pimentel stepped in to serve.  Under her service Bogota opened a double-digit advantage and move on to a 25-12 first set win. The second set started with Bogota serving, but the Lady Lions scoring first. After a couple of ties Bogota would take their final lead of the match. This time, Ashanna Caviness served Bogota to a 15-5 lead. The Lady Bucs would go on to win the set by the score of 25-18 and the Match by a score of 2-0. Bogota's record is now 15-1. 

  Ashanna Caviness had a match high with 14. Abby Boyd scored 5 Kills for Leonia. Mia Pimentel recorded 23 Assists and 2 Aces, with Hannah Yun and Nicole Anez having 3 Assists for their team. Angelina Buhler scored 10 Service Points including 2 Aces. Gianna Estevez had 10 Digs for Bogota and Ava Johnson having 8 Digs for Leonia. Carolina Villada recorded 2 Blocks for the Lady Bucs.  They next play onFriday-14-October at Saddle Brook with the first serve at 4:00p

 On Saturday -15-October the #2 Seeded Lady Bucs will play # 7 Demarst in the Quarter Final of the 2022 Bergen County Women's Volleyball Tournament. This will be played a Northern Vallet at Old Tappan
