Bogota Board of Education

On Tuesday-23-August the Bogota of Education held their meeting for August. In his Superintendent report Mr. Damian Kennedy mentioned some of the improvement from over the Summer. One was that the Solar Panel installation was completed, and the system is now online, with revenue coming into the district. The facade of the High School is being repointed, a new divider in Speary Gym has been installed, new phone systems in all the school building, and a new projector system in the Auditorium.

 He also announced that all but 1 or 2 facility position has been filled, but 2 position are still open for the SLEO Class 3 officers.

   Then the Trustees voted on items on the consent agenda and all resolutions were passed. Items of note were:

- approves the resignation of  Ms.Nicole Caraballo 6th grade teacher

- approves the resignation of Ms. Andrea Lynch Music teacher

- approves the appointment of Mr. Scott Kochman as a Special Education Teacher

- approves the appointment of Mr. Robert Cleary as a Special Education Teacher

- approves the appointment of Mr. Armando Padron as a Social Studies Teacher 

- approves the appointment of Mr. Kenny Santos as Head Soccer Coach 

- approve the appointment of Mr. Michael Prachtauser

 The next Board of Education Meeting will be on Tuesday-13-September. It is scheduled to start at 7:00p. It will be a hybrid meeting with in-person attendance and available online. The in-person meeting will be held at 2 Henry Luthin Pl. Bogota, NJ The meeting is open to the Public.
