On Thursday-2-June the Bogota Borough Council held their first meeting in the month June
The Council first heard a presentation about a new design for Fireman's Park. This park is located at the corner of W.Ft.Lee Rd and River Rd. Currently the park holds the Bogota World War I Memorial Wall, along with the Bogota Community Garden. The Borough's plans are to refurbish this area to make it more inviting for public use. This would also create a more attractive entrance into Bogota. The first bids were rejected by the Governing Body because they did fit in the budget for the park. The Borough's engineering company presented a new design to the Council. It was then unanimously vote on to approve the Borough Administrator place an ad in-order to obtains bids for this project.
The Council next unanimously passed all the items on the consent agenda. One item of note was to approve the grant submission for improvement of Larch Ave.
Still available is the Full Time position of Deputy Borough Clerk/Registrar this position can be applied for by, Qualified candidates providing a cover letter and resume with three (3) references to Mr.Edward Hynes, admin@bogotaonline.org, Borough Administrator. The next Borough Council meeting will be a Special Meeting on Thursday-16-June at 6:30p. It will be held in the Council Chambers located on the third floor of 375 Larch Ave Bogota, NJ. The meeting is scheduled to be primarily in closed session. Action may, or may not be taken at that time.
The next regular Council will be held on Wednesday -29-June starting at 7:30p. This meeting has been moved forward 24 hours to avoid a conflict with the Fourth of July Holiday. It will be held in the Council Chambers located on the third floor of 375 Larch Ave Bogota, NJ.
