Bogota Board of Education

    On Tuesday-8-March the Bogota Board of Education held their first meeting for the Month. During his report Superintendent Mr. Damian Kennedy talked about approximately two years ago the way the District taught Student changed. On Monday 8-March-2022 a small part returned. This was the first day that wearing masks in the Building were optional. He said on this first day the number of those who wore a mask in class was about equally split from those who wanted to not wear a mask. On Tuesday  the number of student who still wanted to wear a mask dropped to 30 % of the Student Body. 

     Superintendent Kennedy next announced that there will be a presentation to the Division winning Varsity Sports from the Fall and Winter season. These will be the Volleyball team, Both the Womens and Mens Cross Country Squads and the Bowling team. This will be held in during an April Board of Education meeting. 

  Another event Superintendent Kennedy  announced that on Thursday-10-March there will be a town hall meeting with the Bogota Police Department in the Bogota High School Cafeteria. This will be a discussion about situations of bullying in the school building, along with addressing the concern about "off-campus" behavior within the Borough.   There was one resoltution that needed to be vote on at this meeting. This was to approve

 Mr. Frank Calero the Director of Technology for the District

  The next Board of Education meeting will be on Tuesday-15-March and is scheduled to start at 7:00p. It will be a hybrid meeting with in-person attendance and available online. The in person meeting will be held in the High Cafeteria located at 2 Henry Luthin Pl. Bogota, NJ All in person attendee will be required to wear mask at all time while in the building. The meeting is open to the Public.
