Results from Bogota Varsity sports on Thursday-10-February.
The Bogota Lady Bucs traveled to Waldwick to play the Lady Warriors. Bogota would lose by a score of 25-60. Waldwick's Emily Toolem would have a game with 22 Points. Bogota was led by Makayla Douglas scoring 10 Points. Their record is now 4-11. They next play on Saturday -12-February at Cliffside Park. The Tip-off is scheduled for 10:00a
The Men Basketball Bucs hosted the Warriors on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. Waldwick would have a one point lead at the end of the first quarter. By halftime Bogota went into the locker room ahead 37-34. After the restart the visitors had a 56-55 advantage at the three quarter time mark. The game ended with Waldwick winning the game by a score of 71-66. The Warriors' Logan Wejnert had a game, and career, high with 40 Points. Bogota's Evan Meberg scored 26 Points. Jaden Feliz record a game high of 4 Three Point Baskets for the Bucs. Kyle Jahnke scored 2 Three Point Baskets for Waldick. Bogota's record is now 7-11. They next play on Wednesday-16-February at Cresskill. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00p
The Bogota Bowling Bucs competed in the New Jersey North 1B Group I sectional Championships. This was held at the Lodi Lanes. Bogota would finish second in the 9 team group. This qualifies them for the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association State Group I Championships. This will take place on Wednesday-16-February at Bowlero in North Brunswick NJ.
The Bucs Franklin Linares qualified for the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association State Individual Championships. This will take place on Friday-18-February at Bowlero in North Brunswick NJ.
