 On Saturday-8-January the National Weather Service has issued the following Hazardous Weather Alert for parts on New Jersey and New York.  This is in effect until Monday-10-January

-WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM TO 11 AM EST SUNDAY...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southern Connecticut,
northeast New Jersey and southeast New York.
-DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.
-DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
-WHAT...Freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations of a
  light glaze.
-WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey, southern Connecticut
  and southeast New York.
- WHEN...From 7 AM to 11 AM EST Sunday.
-IMPACTS...Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are
  possible.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS.
Slow down and use caution while traveling. Prepare for possible
power outages.
Check local Department of Transportation information services for
the latest road conditions.
