Bogota Basketball

     On Friday-14-January the Basketball teams from Bogota played those from Cresskill.  

     The Lady Bucs Basketball team traveled to Cresskill to play the Lady Cougars. Cresskill would have a 31-13 lead at halftime and win the game by a score of 56-26.

 The Lady Cougars were led by Joslyn Lewin with a game high of 15 Points. Makayla Douglas Nakayia Fields had  9 Points a piece for Bogota.

Bogota's record is now 2-3. They next play on Monday-17-January at Midland Park. This is the make-up game for the one that was postponed from Friday-7-January, with a 4:30p tip-off.

  The Men's Basketball Bucs hosted the Cougars on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym.  Bogota scored the first five points of the game, and grew their advantage to 7 points. At the first quarter buzzer Cresskill's Taren Zitomer score a Three Point Basket to cut the Bucs lead to 15-13.  In the second quarter the Cougars doubled their point total, while holding the Bucs 4 points Cresskill would go into the locker room ahead 26-19.  After the restart Bogota go on a number of scoring runs and take the lead 39-38 at the three quarter.  The final eight minutes Cresskill to advantage of Bogota only playing the five starts for the entire game. The Cougars slowly took over the pace of the game on the way to a 56-45 win.

 Bogota's Evan Meberg led all scores  with 35 Points. Cresskill's Taren Zitomer had a team high with 17 Points, including a game high of 5 Three Point Baskets. The Bucs Daniel Trinidad led his team with 2 Three point baskets. 

 Bogota's record is now 2-5. Monday-17-January against Midland Park. This is the make-up game for the one that was postponed from Friday-7-January. This will played on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym, starting at 7:00p
