Former Bogota Fire Chief Mr. Anthony F. Culmone Jr. 67 passed away Monday-1-November. Chief Culmone was a Volunteer Firefighter for 41 years at the Bogota Fire Department (Hose #2), holding the position of Chief in 2006 and 2018. He also served with City of Englewood as a Fire Inspector for 23 years as well as He was a Life Member of both the New Jersey & New York Volunteer Firemen's Association and the New Jersey State Firemen's Association, a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators and the Bergen County Fire Prevention and Protection Association. In addition, Anthony was an Advisory Board Member and Educator with the Bergen County Juvenile Fire Prevention Program. He graduated from Bogota High School in 1972 to complete a B.A. at Northland College in Ashland, WI, and a M.A.T. in Biology Education at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Anthony also held a Certificate in Administration & Supervision from Kean University and taught Science in the Elizabeth Public Schools. Anthony was also a decorated Eagle Scout. Donations may be sent to the CarePlus Foundation of Bergen County and the Bergen County Juvenile Fire Prevention Program.

Visuations will be held at Petrik Funeral Home on Monday-8-November from 2:00p to 4:00p and from 7:00p to 9:00p. Petrik Funeral Home is located at 140 Palisade Ave. Bogota, NJ.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday-9-November in St. Joseph Church 115 E. Ft. Lee rd Bogota , NJ starting at 11:00a. The Committal will be in Maple Grove Park Cemetery at 535 Hudson St. Hackensack, NJ at 12:15p
