Then Bogota Head Coach Katherine Sura talked about their one Senior Player for this year Diana Alfau. Coach Sura complemented Ms. Alfau on her work to adapted and contribute to the Lady Bucs team in only her second year of Varsity Volleyball at Bogota. She was presented with a bouquet of flowers and joined on the court by her Family.
When the match started Midland Park would serve first. Bogota however would score the first point of the set. Both teams would have trouble controlling the serve. For the first twelve points of this opening set only once did a team have more that a one point lead. After four ties the Lady Bucs would find a way to hold service with Angelina Buhler in possession. Ms. Buhler had a small four point run to give Bogota an 11-6 lead. The Lady Panthers' Jessica Balala then closed the difference to by two. The teams again traded service points until Mia Pimentel stepped up to the service line. With just her three points Ms. Pimentel expanded the Bogota advantage to move them on to a 25-15 first set win.
To begin the second set Gyanna Hernandez scored three straight points for Bogota. After Midland Park moved to within one point of tying the set the Lady Bucs would limit their opponent to only a couple of points in a row. Angelina Buhler again had a service run, this time of 6 points. This allowed her team to double the points margin and keep Midland Park from gaining ground. Bogota would continue to score and get a 25-13 second set win and a 2-0 match victory.
Bogota's record is now 20-1. Angelina Buhler would finish with 10 Service Point with 2 Aces. Mia Pimentel recorded 28 Assist and also have 2 Aces. Ashanna Caviness scores 14 Kills and 6 digs.
