on Tuesday-12-October the Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team hosted the Lady Cavaliers from Emerson at Speary Gym Bogota would start the opening set serving, and score the points of the game. Emerson would tie the set at one, and then Helena Tobin move Bogota to a four point lead. The Lady Cavaliers' Celine Mallouhi would serve her team with in one point of tying the set. Bogota was able to hold off their opponents to maintain their lead. By mid-set the Lady Bucs received service runs from Gyanna Hernandez and Helena Tobin which pushed the home team to a 25-16 first set win.

The second set began with Emerson serving first, but Bogota again getting scoring first. Lady Cavaliers' Mia Bonner was able to give Emerson their first lead of the match at 3-1. Ashanna Caviness retook the lead back for Bogota with a couple serving point at 6-4. Emerson then went on a four point run, behind Natalie Graham serving. This gave the Lady Cavaliers the momentum to keep the pressure on Bogota. They started to find opening in the Lady Bucs defence, while making sure they limited the home teams chances. Emerson would have a lead smaller than three point for the rest of the set. They would tie the Match at 1-1 with a 25-19 set win.
The final set started with Bogota's Gyanna Hernandez serving. Ms. Hernandez gave her team a 4-0 advantage in scoring. The Lady Bucs then went through the rest of the set having multiple runs of 3 to 4 points and not allowing Emerson to score more once, or twice at a time. Bogota would win the set by a score of 25-11, and the Match 2-1. Bogota's record is now 16-1.
Ashanna Caviness lead all scores with 20 Kills for Bogota. Emerson's Alexandra Delevan had 10 Kills and a match high with 5 Blocks. Lady Cavaliers' Mia Bonner recorded a match high with 18 Digs. Ashanna Caviness and Helena Tobin both had 10 Digs for Bogota. The Lady Bucs Mia Pimentel score a match high with 30 Assists. Natalie Graham led Emerson with 14 Assists, Ms. Graham also had a match high with 13 Service Points with 3 Aces. Bogota's Gyanna Hernandez had a team high with 11 Service points and 2 Aces.
Bogota next play on Thursday-14-October when they travel to Park Ridge. The first serve is scheduled for 4:00p.
