Recap of the Ridgefield Park Baseball Scarlets from the end of the current week.
On Thursday-6-May they would travel to Ridgefield to play the Royals. The home team would score three runs in the bottom have of the first inning. Ridgfield would add another in the fourth inning. The Scarlets would get on the score sheet with a run in the top of the sixth inning. The Royals would match that in their half of the inning. In the seventh inning Ridgefield Park tried to mount a comeback by scoring 3 runs in the top of the seventh. Their attempt to tie the game fell one run short as the Royals were able to hold on for a 5-4 win.
On Friday Ridgefield Park had another road game. This time against the Cardinals in Westwood. The Cardinals scored once in each of the first two innings. Ridgefield Park cut the lead in half with one run in the top of the fourth inning. Westwood then added to their advantage with a four run sixth inning. They would win the game by the score of 6-1.
After this week Ridgefield Park's record is now 1-10. They next play on Monday-10-May, when they host Dwight-Morrow. This will be played at the Baseball Field in Biggs Stadium. The first pitch is scheduled for 4:00p
On Saturday 9-May the Lady Scarlet played the Ramsey Lady Rams as part of the Coaches vs Cancer tournament. Their record is now 1-11.
They next play on Monday-10-May, when they host Dwight-Morrow. This will be played at the Softball Field in Biggs Stadium. The first pitch is scheduled for 4:00p
