Bogota Varsity Sports

    On Thursday-6-May the Varsity ball clubs of Bogota played those from Waldwick.  The Saddle Brook/ Bogota Baseball team  hosted the Warriors at the Sandle/Coolidge Baseball Field in Saddle Brook. Waldwick took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning.  They would maintain that advantage until the home part of the fourth inning.  Ryan Ramirez score the tying run off  off of a Jon Dempsey single. The score would stay at 1-1 when Saddle Brook/ Bogota had their turn at bat in the seventh inning. Jason Jones would get on base with a single.  After a couple of walks, to load the bases, Jon Dempsey would hit his second Run Batted In of the game to give Saddle Brook/ Bogota a 2-1 home win. Saddle Brook/ Bogota now has a record of 7-1.

   Paul Figueroa would  pitch a complete game for the win. Mr. Figueroa also had a Stolen base.  Waldwick's Ryan Woolbert  would Pitch six inning and have 10 Strike-outs. Mike O'Neil record the only extra base hit of the game with a double. And Nick Nocito had one Stolen Base for the Warriors.

   Saddle Brook/ Bogota  next play on Saturday-8-May against Dwight- Englewood. This will take play at Park Ridge as part of the Coaches vs Cancer event. The first pitch is scheduled for 3:45p

   The Lady Bucs Softball team played the Lady Warriors on Lady Buc Field in Olsen Park.  Waldwick. The Lady Warriors would score at least one run in  5 of the six inning played. They would score 4 in the third inning and another 3 in the fourth inning.  Waldwick would go on to win the game by a score of 11-1. The Lady Bucs record is now 2-4. Amber Vazquez would throw 4 Strike Outs of Bogota. Waldwick's Sage Rizzi  record 5 Strike Outs in a complete game win. They next play on Saturday-8-May against St. Dominics This will take play at Park Ridge as part of the Coaches vs Cancer event. The first pitch is scheduled for 1:30p
