Over the past weekend the Bogota Track and Field Bucs competed in two Championship meets.
Over the past weekend the Bogota Track and Field Bucs competed in two Championship meets.
The first was the 2021 Bergen Country Championships on Friday and Saturday 21-22-May. This took place in Old Tappan and Hasbrouck Heights. Bogota was placed in the "D" Division and traveled to Old Tappan to compete. The metal finishers from Bogota were for the:
Lady Bucs
- Amandine Fernandez placing 2nd in the 3200m
For the Men
- Jesus Michel placing 2nd in both the 800m and 160mm
- the team of Justin Cazar, Gabriel Nunez, Ethan Roberts,and Dylan LeMay, placing 3rd in the 4 x 100 m relay.
- the team of Owen Rosado, Alexis Fernandez, Justin Cazar, and Gabriel Nunez won the 4 x 400m race
The Lady Bucs would place 9th out of the 11 schools in group"D"
The Men would place 4th out of the 10 schools in group "D"
On Monday-24-May both squads would compete in the 2021 NJIC Patriot Division Championships. This was held at Emerson. The metal finishers from Bogota were for the:
Lady Bucs
- Amandine Fernandez placing 3rd in the 1600m and 3200m
For the Men
- Dennis Toremis placed 3rd in the 1600m and 2nd in the 3200m
The Lady Bucs would place 6th out of the 8 schools.
The Men would place 6th out of the 8 schools.
