On Monday-5-April the Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team traveled to New Milford to play the Lady Knights. The Lady Bucs serviced first, but the Lady Knights would score first. Bogota would then tie the set at one each. This would be the first in a series of 12 ties the teams would have in quick sessions. New Milford would take a three point lead at 5-3 then the Lady Bucs would pull even again at 5-5. The close scoring would continue until the scoreboard showed 14-14. Bogota would move one point a head with the Lady Knights appearing to tie the set once again at 15. This was overturned by the Head Referee and Bogota would be awarded the point and 16-14 advantage. The Lady Bucs made full use of the situation and go a five point scoring run. This led to a 25-18 first set win.
In the second set New Milford would serve first and score first. Bogota regained the service and, using Ciara Feliz serving, build a 6-1 lead. The Lady Bucs would only allow the home team to close to with in 2 points just once and would go on to win the set by a score of 25-13. Bogota would win the match 2-0. They now has a record of 4-0.
Lady Bucs' Kiara Polanco had a match high with 18 Kills, 8 Digs and 2 Aces. Ciara Feliz had 12 Service Points including 2 Aces. Amber Vasquez had 16 Assists and Ashanna Caviness recorded 4 Blocks.
The Lady Bucs next play on Thursday-8-April against Dwight- Englewood. This will be play at Speary Gym, with the first serve is scheduled for 4:30p with the Junior Varsity match to follow. For Bogota at Bogota BoE
The Lady Middle School Bucs hosted the River Dell Lady Hawks at Speary Gym. Bogota would win the first set 25-7. River Dell tied the match at one set a piece with a 25-23 second set win. In the final set the Lady Hawks were able to use their serving to limit Bogota scoring and would take that set by the score of 25-20 & earn a 2-1 road match win. Bogota's record is now 4-1.
