On Monday-5-April the Bogota -Ridgefield Park Scarlet/Bucs Wrestling team hosted the team from New Milford- Woodridge . The match took place on the James Walsh track in front of Ridgefield Park High School. This was so that the two Ridgefield Park Seniors could be honoured in their hometown. First Mr. Romel Vazquez from New Milford was announced to the audience could be honoured for his varsity career. Next Ridgefield Park Wrestlers, Mr Kaleb Maldanado and Kayla Zeppetelli were welcomed to the the mat with their Families and announced to those in attendance.
Of the 14 bouts scheduled 6 took place. Scarlet/Bucs Wrestlers won the match by the score of 57-21. Both teams would win 3 bouts a piece. Andrew Vargas at 170 lbs, Kaleb Maldanado at 285 lbs would win by Pinfall. Benjamin Rivera at 160 lbs would by a 5-3 Decision score. The Scarlet/Bucs record is now 5-4
New Milford- Woodridge would have Pinfall wins by Brandon DiMase at 126 lbs, and Shawn Mastropierroat 132 lbs. They would have Romel Vazquez at 182 lbs win by a 9-5 Decision,
They next compete on Wednesday-7-April at Becton. The first bout is scheduled for 5:00p Two Scarlet/Bucs Women Wrestlers Kayla Zeppetelli, and Theresa Zeppetelli will compete at the NJSIAA Girls Wrestling State Championships on Saturday-10-April. This will take place at Phillipsburg. The first bouts are scheduled to start at 10:00a.
Due to the current health situation only Family members of the Home School will be allowed to attend in person.
