On Friday-9-April the Bogota -Ridgefield Park Scarlet/Bucs Wrestling team hosted the Weehawken Indians at Speary Gym. This would be the final home match in Bogota for the 2021 season.
Of the 14 bouts scheduled 7 took place. Bogota -Ridgefield Park Wrestlers won the match by the score of 56-11. The Scarlet/Bucs would win 5 bouts. Derek Bauernschmidt at 106 lbs, Josh Gesmundo at 132 lbs and, Kaleb Maldanado at 285 lbs would win by Pinfalls. Justin Cazar 138 lbs won by a 9-4 Decision. With Gabriel Nunez at 152 lbs scoring at Major Decision by a 10-1. The Scarlet/Bucs, including their win at Becton on 7-April, record is now 7-4
Weehawken would have Pinfall wins by: Juan Santos at 195 lbs. With Tristen Fitzgerald recording at Technical Fall at 17-1
Two Scarlet/Bucs Women Wrestlers Kayla Zeppetelli, and Theresa Zeppetelli will compete at the NJSIAA Girls Wrestling State Championships on Saturday-10-April. This will take place at Phillipsburg. The first bouts are scheduled to start at 10:00a.
