On Tuesday-16-March the Bogota -Ridgefield Park Scarlet/Bucs Wrestling team opened their 2021 Season. For this year the Scarlet/Bucs will compete in the North Jersey Interscholastic Conference (NJIC) Division 3 This included Garfield, Lodi, Rutherford, and Lyndhurst-North Arlington.
In this season opener they traveled to Secaucus Patriots. Of the 14 bouts scheduled 9 took place. Bogota -Ridgefield Park would get a 48-27 win. Adam Albino at 113 lbs, Gabriel Nunez at 145 lbs, Andrew Vargas at 170 lbs, Mathew Carvjal at 195 lbs and Hugo Wang at 220 lbs would all score Pinfalls. Scarlet/Bucs record is now 1-0.
They next compete on Wednesday-17-March against Bergenfield in Speary Gym The first bout is scheduled to start at 5:00p Due to the current health situation only Family members of the Home School will be allowed to attend in person. Speary Gym in Bogota will have limited seating for 2 Family members per Student, Or 35% capacity.
