On Saturday 27-March the Bogota Recreation Commission held a Drive by Egg Hunt for the Children of the Borough. This was to help keep Families safe and healthy due to the current conditions. It was held in the Bogota Swim Club Parking lot just off of Feller Pl. Cars with Children and their Parents drove into the parking lot were they would recieve a bag full of candy filled eggs. They were met by Bogota Mayor Chris Kelemen, some members of Borough Council and Volunteers for the Recreation Committee. The Easter Bunny was also on hand pass out the bags. The Easter Bunny himself was made an honorary member of the Bogota Auxiliary Police Department and given the rank of Officer Peter B. Rabbit. Officer Peter would greet the Families and present the gift bags to the occupants. He thanked the Families for sharing their time with him and wished them a safe Holiday.

He also reminded the Children to carefully look in their bags to see if they were lucky enough to fine a special egg. If they had one of these very different looking eggs they needed to bring it to the Bogota Recreation Centre at 11:00a. Where they could turn-in the egg, and they would receive chocolate treat. There were only 12 winning eggs given out, but so far only two were exchanged for the presents. Anyone with a special egg can still contact Mr. Jim Moore at the Recreation Centre to pick-up their treat. He can be contacted, during business hours, at 201-487-4368.
Also a reminder that any one interested in Rec. Football or Cheerleading for the Fall of 2021 must register at the Bogota Recreation Center on Thursday-1 April. Please contact Mr Moore, during business hours, at 201-487-4368 for more information.
