 Result of Ridgefield Park Sports from Wednesday-3-February.  The Bowling Scarlets had a Tri-meet  at the Bowler City Lanes in Hackensack.  Their opponents were the Dumont Huskies and the Cliffside Parks Red Raiders.  Both the Lady Scarlets and the Men's team lose to both by scores of 0-7.  For the Men's team Justin Arciuolo would post a game score of  209 with Nick Arciuolo having a 203  

 Their next match on Thursday-4-February against St. Joseph at Bowler City in Hackensack. The first game is scheduled to start at 4:00p.

  The Basketball Scarlet would host the Lodi Rams on the Dr. John C Richardson Court.  The first quater saw equal play with not team able to hold a lead. At one point Ridgefield Park was ahead by five.  But the end of the first eight minutes the score was tied at 15. In the second quarter the Rams defense hold the home team to single digits while scoring 22 Points of their own to lead at the half 37-24.  After the restart would  close the gap but still trail by 10 Points going into the final quater of regulation time.  In the fourth quarter the Scarlet would find 10 more points then Lodi.   With time down to less than two minutes a Scarlet three point basket brought the deficit to 2 points. The teams would trade baskets  with the Rams still in the lead.   A Scarlet foul would allow Lodi  to shoot free throws with  with the bonus. Both were made and Ridgefield Park was down by 4.  A Scarlet tip -in closed the score by two. The Rams moved the ball to the fore court but could not convert.  A dash back on offense saw the Scarlet tie the game at 53 with 3 seconds left.  In the overtime neither team cold score for the first  minute and a-half.  At that time Ridgefield Park to their first lead since the first quater 55-53. Lodi tied it again at 55, but could not score anymore.  The Scarlets would make enough free throws to win the game by a score of 59-55.  

   Ridgefield Park's record is now 2-1.  Jenci Reyes led the Scarlets with 17 Points. Lodi's Roland Leiva had a game high with 21 Points including 2 Three Point Shots.  They next play on Thursday-4-February when the Men's Scarlets travel to Ramsey. The varsity game is scheduled to start at 4:00p. With the Junior Varsity game to follow. The Freshman game will be play at the  Eric S. Smith Middle School in Ramsey with a 4:00p tip-off . the Varsity and J.V. will be lived stream at https://www.bignorthconferencenj.org

  The Lady Scarlets will host Ramsey on the Dr. John C Richardson Court  with a 7;00p Tip-off. the Junior varsity game will precede this at 5:30p. This will be lived stream at Ridgefield Park Athletics
