On Friday-29-January the basketball teams from Bogota opened their 2021 Season against teams from Palisades Park. The Men's team travel to Palisades Park to play the Tigers. The Bucs had total control of the game and limited Palisades Park to just 3 Points in the first quater. By halftime Bogota recorded a half century to lead 51-3 at the break. After the restart the Bucs would continue to dictate the play and protected their lead. They would finish with a 67-20 road win. Bogota now has a record of 1-0. The Bucs' Taj Collins was the games High Scorer with 17 Points including 3 Three Point Baskets. The Tigers were lead by Aziz Toumi with 11 Points.
They are next schedule to play on Wednesday-3-February when they host Midland Park. This will take place on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. The Varsity game is schedule to have a 5:30p tip-off. The Junior Varsity game will precedes at 4:00p. Due to the current health situation no fans will be allow to attend this game in person. This game will be lived streamed on the High School you-tube channel at Bogota Buc Nation.
The Lady Bucs will open their season by hosting the Palisades Park Lady Tigers on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. This would be the first sporting event at Speary Gym in almost one year. The Lady Bucs started strong by scoring the first 12 Points of the game. They would keep Palisades Park scoreless until the second quarter. Bogota would have a 19-5 lead by halftime. The game would finish with a 38-10 win for the Lady Bucs. The Lady Bucs' record is now 1-0. Kylie Cabana lead all scores with 29 Points including 1 Three Point Basket. Palisades Park's Kahima Stewart had a team high with 5 Points and Isablelle Ro recorded 1 Three Point Basket.
The Lady Bucs next play on Monday-1- February when the travel to Hawthorne Christian Academy. This is schedule to have a 4:30p tipoff. Due to the current health situation no fans will be allow to attend this game in person.
